Inspired by the psychological effects of modern life and their direct personal experiences, The Steoples are back with their second album for Stones Throw, Wide Through the Eyes of No One.
Drawing on an eclectic range of sounds from Latin rhythms to 80’s soul and sombre tones of folk fused with R&B, Wide Through the Eyes of No One incorporates more live instrumentation from a new cast of players. The album also explores social commentary, with confessional lyrics that contemplate the nuances of isolation and unsatisfying work.
Though rich and more evolved in its sound, the album stays true to The Steoples’ foundation: “an exploration of music and philosophy by two friends of different backgrounds.”
